Buyers have no choice but to be competitive, so we are seeing 6 in 10 houses sell above asking price after receiving an average of 4.4 offers. This is double the number of houses that sold over asking price at this same time last year.  And if that is not compelling enough, houses are only on the market for an average of 17 days. That’s a record low!

As a seller, all of this is excellent news. There are more people looking to buy a home than there are homes to sell. In fact, the number of buyers in the south has gone up 15% since 2019. But, sellers are beginning to catch on to this trend. Although it will be no swift transition, the more homes that are listed each month, the more the market conditions will tilt in favor of buyers. With that being said, there may not be a better chance than right now to maximize your home’s potential.
